Once you've registered a domain in Flyerlink through
you will be able to adjust the DNS settings within Flyerlink, or have the DNS settings auto-configured for you for Nettl or Brambl websites.To auto configure the DNS settings for Nettl or Brambl websites:
1) Register a domain through
2) Head to
Find the website you want to add the domain on
3) Add your registered domain as a Domain Alias to your website.
4) Find the domain on
5) Scroll down to the DNS settings and press the Set up DNS for w3pcloud button
It is also possible to add and remove DNS records for your domains in Flyerlink.
You can add the following types of DNS records:
DNS Type | Explanation |
---|---|
A | Commonly used to map a domain to an IP address where a website is hosted. Used on w3shops. Used for the "@" or " " record on Nettl or Brambl sites as an alternative to redirects. |
CNAME | An alias of another website. Used to map a domain to a website hosted elsewhere. Not used on w3shops. Used on the "www" or "*" record for Nettl or Brambl sites to point to the development domain |
MX | Maps a domain to a mail server. Used by most popular email clients to allow @yourdomain.com to be used. See how it's used for Gmail and Outlook360 |
TXT | Human readable text that can be stored against the domain. Often used for 3rd party integrations as a way to prove your ownership of the domain. |
Redirect | Redirects a subdomain to a different url. |
Redirect 301 | Sets up a 301 permenant redirects of subdomain to a different url. Used on Nettl or Brambl sites from auto-configuration as an alternative to the A record. |
When you add a DNS record, you need to enter a Host, choose your Type, and choose the address.
The Host is often a subdomain, such as "www".
"@" or " " can be used to indicate the DNS should apply to "yourdomain.com" instead of a sub domain.
The Address should be:

MX | Enter a url of the mail server that will receive the emails |
TXT | Enter a line of text you want visible on your domain |
Redirect | Enter a url to redirect the subdomain to |
Redirect 301 | Enter a url to redirect the subdomain to |
